If you want to make decisions that are in alignment with who you really are so that life flows easily, you need to stop doing this one toxic thing today.
Stop calling your spiritual practice "woo-woo"!
"Woo-woo" is a term, usually used by women, to describe anything related to spirituality, such as Tarot, crystals, astrology, lunar cycles, yoga or energy.
It's generally said in a slightly embarrassed, apologetic way, as if to say “I’m into this stuff, but don’t worry, I’m a rational woman and know it’s a bit silly”.
You won’t find men using ”woo” to describe their spiritual practice. In fact, they proudly discuss it in the highest terms, right up there with science, politics and social justice.
Yet women STILL minimise their spiritual life as if it’s something unserious. Which is a load of s***, and here’s why.
Women have been conditioned by thousands of years of Patriarchy to distrust themselves. There has been worldwide gaslighting and denial that there even IS a Patriarchy, causing confusion, shame, fear and guilt for just being who we are.
And we wonder why it’s predominantly women who find solace in practises like yoga. Finding a healthy way to alchemise our anger into something beautiful, to trust the signals from our bodies, and find our voices is HUGE - and is a giant threat to the status-quo.
If you want to control women, keep them disconnected from their bodies and intuition.
The spiritual tools women are increasingly drawn to are for this very purpose: to learn to trust your inner knowing.
All you ever need to know is already inside you - these “woo woo” practices and tools are simply helping you Remember.
It can take a little time to understand this (at first we can we give our power away to the Guru, yoga teacher, cards or crystals as if they are doing something TO you).
But make no mistake, a woman in touch with her intuition and deepest source of wisdom is a woman to be reckoned with. A woman in touch with her body is a dangerous woman.
There’s nothing silly about a woman standing in her power, awake to her body’s messages, wise to the shackles that bind her.
So please, stand proud in your spiritual practice.
Boldly proclaim your love of crystals and energy healing.
Honour the tools that serve you. No more embarrassment, no more shame, no more woo.
Words have power, so choose yours wisely.
Tell me proudly in the comments about your spiritual practice - own your power and see it come back to you ten-fold. And please consider sharing this with someone who needs to read it.
