When I changed my morning routine, my whole life started changing for the better. How you set the tone for the rest of your day matters. Wake up to fresh energy with these sacred morning radiance rituals designed to inspire you to find what works for your life and circumstances - even if it means 3 deep breaths before you get out of bed, create a little space for you.
Get into your desired frequency for the day ahead by setting the tone from the moment you wake up. This is your time, your life and your day, how do you want to live it? Every morning presents a new opportunity for you to decide.
Finding your own pleasure-based rituals to start the morning will set the tone for the whole day ahead. Rituals can be anything from making your morning cup of tea with pure presence to doing a full yoga practice or simply splashing your face with cold water to awaken your chakras.
The point is to tap into your own inner wisdom and do what feels good, not what feels self-punishing.
Wellbeing isn’t another way to be hard on ourselves and tell ourselves off for not getting it “right”. It’s a way to connect to yourself and honour your needs on each changing day. This is what makes these rituals sacred - the fact that you’re choosing to show up for yourself in presence to what you need now.
Here are some of my favourite ideas to inspire your own personal morning rituals so you can start the day in a way that works for you.
Stretch! Sweat! Sing!
Goddesses always cleanse
I'm not talking about a cleanse, tone and moisturise skin routine here (though that IS good).
I'm talking about protecting your ENERGY for your day ahead.
Lately, before I even fully wake up or get out of bed, when my mind is in that lovely, juicy, receptive state (DON’T LOOK AT YOUR PHONE WHILE YOUR BRAIN IS IN THIS STATE!) I do an energetic cleanse.
It’s really simple, and involves imagining a white light pouring down from the sky through the top of my head and spreading all down my body, washing me clean. That way I don’t carry any dreams into my waking hours, and can rise with a feeling of being fully refreshed.
Is there anything better than morning sex? I am yet to find it. And I don’t necessarily mean with a partner (though that’s fun too).
An orgasm (in my humble opinion) is the best way to raise your vibe, love yo’self and start the day right. They say the best things in life are free, and masturbation is the proof.
Orgasm is thought of as a mini-death (so if you have trouble letting go, it’s no wonder) and it’s so true! Allow your physical self and your ego to dissolve as you melt into oneness with the bliss of the Divine.
On the note of bedtime playtime - is your bed somewhere you LOVE to be? Do you want to dive in and roll around, rubbing your body all over your silken sheets and furry throws?
Ok, well I recommend getting to that STAT, especially if your arousal levels have plummeted.
Don't ask me why, but I just can't get turned on in a bed made of bad taste and stale sheets. I need lighting, texture, fresh air, and a thoroughly smudged space if I want my full radiance to be set free. Demanding? Watch me as I give zero fucks. What can I say? I'm a Leo.
Connect to your breath
Take a breath in through the nose. Now sigh it out. Feel better? Yep, the breath is pretty magical like that.
Appreciating and feeling the breath first thing in the morning will ground you and stop that crazy rushing pace so many people get trapped in in the morning. You don’t even have to get out of bed to do it!
Place your hands on your belly sitting upright or lying down and take a few deep breaths. Feel for how the belly expands on the inhale and relaxes back on the exhale.
This is also a way to remind yourself of how to breathe fully so that you know if at any point during the day ahead, things become too much, you can always come back to this full breath to feel a little calmer.
Don’t carry your crap into the day - unload it onto the page
